Dinner with the 2011/12 Isle of Man Pesidents

On Friday 8th April we joined the Isle of Man 2011/12 Presidents for dinner, a good evening and we relieved the restaurant of a few bottles of wine in the process.

Button Sorting for Traid Aid

Salford with Swinton and Eccles Rotary Clubs collected buttons from around the area, on Saturday 2nd April they moved into an empty shop in Eccles to sort the buttons into color order and bag them up. Assisted by local Guides and Brownies and members of the public these buttons will be sent to Traid Aid as part of a Seamstresses Kit for people in Africa.

After our hectic week in San Diego we went to Las Vegas with Ron & Patsy from District 1190 for a "rest". we must have been joking!!!

The International Dinner had many of the delegates in national costume, here are some images of the evening.

The RI Assembly continues

Last night we attended the international grand march and fellowship dinner, RIBI entered waving union jacks wearing union jack dickie bows and scarves whilst singing "Rule Britannia" . Some of the traditional costumes were amazing, photos to follow as I took them on my other camera.

Well we have arrived safely and settled into our room, we received an upgrade and have a 26th floor Harbour view room.
The session are very uplifting and the organisation is first class. This is a view from our room

Winter arrives in Irlams O'th' Height

Denise and I went a walk in the local park to enjoy the winter scenes, it was very quiet as there were no children sledging.
